Okay, I’m on a furniture kick. With the move underway and still enjoying the success of the dining table and chairs I bought from Amazon last month, I decided to give it another go with some seating for my office/game room.
What I needed was a chair to sit in while playing N64, SNES, Game Cube, etc. (XBox is in the living room, legacy consoles get their own private area.) Something comfortable, but that could move around to face different parts of the room since there are also the office chairs/desks on one side and a sofa on the other.
The Flash Furniture Leather Recliner and Ottoman #7862 ended up being the man for the job. Available in black, brown, burgundy, and cream and featuring a swivel seat and tension knob to adjust ease of reclining, I definitely found it to be a suitable addition to the room.
Assembly clearly required, but not too complicated. Took me about 20 minutes by myself, so nothing to complain about.
Some reviewers have noted that there is a metal bar in the back of the seat that is a bit uncomfortable when reclining. I’ll agree that it’s noticeable and slightly annoying, but for a $109 recliner, I’m not expecting the best construction. Bottom line is that it’s a decent chair to sit in and play video games or watch some TV, but it’s not something you’re going to want to spend all your time in.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
